Privacy Policy
1. Who we are
Mixing Pro AI™, LLC ("we", "us", or "our") is a Georgia, USA limited liability company that develops and sells audio plugin software, including Thrive™. This Privacy Policy explains what personal information we collect, how we use it, who we share it with, and the choices you have.
This policy covers:
- The Thrive audio plugin ("the Software"), in both Demo and licensed forms.
- The mixingproai.com website ("the Site") and any subdomains.
- Email correspondence sent to support@mixingproai.com or any other Mixing Pro AI address.
If you have questions about this policy, contact us at support@mixingproai.com.
2. What we collect
2.1 From the Thrive plugin
The Software contacts our license-verification server only for the following purposes:
- License activation. When you first activate the Software on a computer, we receive your License Key, a hashed machine fingerprint (used to count Authorized Machines under the EULA), and your IP address.
- Periodic license verification. The Software periodically re-verifies that your License is valid. This sends the same data described above. Verification is infrequent and does not transmit anything about your audio, projects, or how you use the plugin.
The Software does not collect or transmit:
- Audio data of any kind
- Project files, session names, preset names, or DAW information
- Usage telemetry (which features you use, how often, etc.)
- Crash reports
If we add any data collection in a future version of the Software, we will update this policy and require explicit opt-in for non-essential collection.
2.2 From the mixingproai.com website
When you visit the Site, we use Plausible Analytics as our analytics provider. Plausible is a privacy-focused, EU-hosted analytics service that:
- Does not set cookies
- Does not track you across other websites
- Does not collect personal information
- Is GDPR-, PECR-, and CCPA-compliant by default
It records aggregate, anonymized data such as page views, referring sites, country (derived from IP and then discarded), and device type. Your IP address is processed in memory and is never stored.
2.3 When you buy a License
Purchases of Thrive Licenses are handled by Lemon Squeezy, an Ireland-based payment processor that acts as the Merchant of Record for our direct sales. Lemon Squeezy collects and stores your name, email, billing address, and payment information. Because Lemon Squeezy is the Merchant of Record, it is the legal seller of record for your purchase and is responsible for tax collection, invoicing, refund processing, and chargeback handling.
We receive from Lemon Squeezy only what we need to fulfil and support your order: your email address (to issue your License Key), your country (for export-compliance and customer-support purposes), and your order details (product, price, currency, date). We do not receive your full payment card details.
2.4 When you sign up for our newsletter
If you choose to subscribe to the Mixing Pro AI mailing list, we collect your email address (and optionally your name) via an explicit opt-in form on the Site. The mailing list is managed through Buttondown, a US-based email service provider. You can unsubscribe at any time using the link at the bottom of any newsletter email.
2.5 When you contact support
When you email support@mixingproai.com, we receive whatever you choose to send: your email address, the contents of your message, and any attachments. We use this only to respond to you and to improve the Software.
3. How we use this information
- License enforcement — verifying that the Software is being used under a valid License, and limiting activations to the number permitted by the EULA.
- Order fulfillment — sending you your License Key, receipts, and any necessary post-purchase communications.
- Customer support — responding to your support requests.
- Site improvement — aggregate, anonymized analytics to understand which pages are of interest.
- Marketing (only if you opted in) — sending you product updates, releases, and offers via our newsletter. You can opt out at any time.
- Legal compliance — meeting our obligations under applicable tax, accounting, and consumer-protection law.
We do not sell your personal information to third parties for advertising or any other purpose. We do not use your information to train AI models.
4. Legal basis for processing (GDPR / UK GDPR)
If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, we process your personal data under the following lawful bases:
- Contract performance — to fulfill our EULA with you, including issuing License Keys and verifying activations.
- Legitimate interests — to protect the Software against piracy via license verification, and to keep our Site secure.
- Consent — for newsletter subscriptions. You can withdraw consent at any time by unsubscribing.
- Legal obligation — for tax and accounting records.
5. Sharing with third parties
- Lemon Squeezy (Ireland) — our Merchant of Record for purchases.
- Buttondown (United States) — our newsletter provider, only if you have subscribed.
- Plausible Analytics (European Union) — for cookie-free, anonymized site analytics.
- License-verification infrastructure — to enforce the activation terms of the EULA.
- Professional advisors (lawyers, accountants) and regulators, where required by law.
- Successor entities — in the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of all or part of Mixing Pro AI's assets.
6. Data retention
- License activation records are retained for the lifetime of your License plus a reasonable period thereafter.
- Order records are retained for a minimum of seven (7) years to comply with US tax-recordkeeping requirements.
- Newsletter subscriber records are retained until you unsubscribe.
- Support correspondence is retained typically not exceeding three (3) years.
7. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including access, correction, deletion, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent.
To exercise any of these rights, contact us at support@mixingproai.com. We will respond within the timeframe required by applicable law (typically 30 days under GDPR; 45 days under CCPA).
7.1 California residents (CCPA/CPRA)
If you are a California resident, you have rights to know, to delete, to correct, and to opt out of sale/sharing. We do not sell or "share" your personal information for cross-context behavioral advertising, and we do not knowingly process personal information of consumers under 16 for these purposes.
7.2 EU/EEA and UK residents
If you are in the EU/EEA or UK and you believe we have not adequately responded to a privacy concern, you have the right to lodge a complaint with your local data-protection authority.

For EU/EEA and UK residents, we rely on appropriate safeguards for such transfers, including the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses with our US-based processors.
9. Children's privacy
Thrive is professional audio software intended for adults. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 16. If we learn that we have inadvertently collected personal information from a child under 16, we will delete it.
10. Security
We implement reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect personal information against unauthorized access, alteration, disclosure, or destruction, including HTTPS encryption for all Site traffic and license-verification calls, restricted access to personal data on a need-to-know basis, and reliance on reputable, certified third-party processors.
11. Cookies
The Site does not currently set tracking, advertising, or analytics cookies. We may set strictly necessary cookies required for basic functionality (e.g., maintaining a session during checkout). If we add any non-essential cookies in the future, we will request your consent through a clear banner.
12. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The current version is always available at mixingproai.com/privacy, and the effective date at the top of this document reflects the most recent revision. Material changes will be communicated via the Site or, where appropriate, by email.
