Who we are
Mixing Pro AI, LLC is a Georgia-registered software company that develops professional audio plugins for music producers, mastering engineers, and self-releasing artists. We are a small, independent team focused on building tools that meet the realities of modern music delivery — streaming platforms, lossy codecs, broadcast specs — head-on.
Why this company exists
The mastering chain hasn't kept up with how music is actually delivered. Most mastering plugins were designed in an era when an engineer's master would be played back on CD or vinyl, at full quality, at whatever loudness the engineer chose. That era is gone.
Today, the audience hears your master through Spotify's -14 LUFS normalization or Apple's -16, encoded by AAC or Opus, streamed over a phone speaker or a pair of cheap earbuds. The platforms make the rules, the codecs damage the audio, and the engineer doesn't get to choose either.
We started Mixing Pro AI because we believe mastering software should make those rules visible and those damages predictable — so engineers can master for the platforms their audience uses, instead of mastering for an ideal that no listener will ever hear.
What we believe
A few stated principles that shape what we build and how we run the business.
Streaming-first.
Our tools assume the master is going to a streaming platform unless told otherwise. The platform's spec is the unit of correctness, not an arbitrary loudness number.
Predictable, not opaque.
Every visual element in our plugins tells the engineer something specific. We don't ship eye-candy meters that look impressive but mean nothing. If a number is on screen, the engineer can act on it.
Honest about codecs.
Lossy delivery is the reality. We tell the engineer what each codec will do to their master, and we give them the means to correct for it before delivery — not after a bad review tells them the streamed version sounded different from the bounce.
No subscriptions.
Audio software should be owned, not rented. Our products are sold as perpetual licenses with free updates within each major version.
